Generations of guerilla war had left a huge part of Colombia totally off-limits for almost six decades. And though the war ended five years ago still no-one, locals or tourists, dared visit. So we gave ex guerilla fighters a new life as tour guides and opened up an area the size of Portugal to the world once again.

Over 18 months, ex guerillas were trained as tour guides and in running a business, vehicles and equipment were supplied, local businesses were established and the entire transformation was made into a film, screening in 14 countries in the Discovery Network. ​

Lost Roads helped people find a new life. And for everyone else, a new world.
